STUDENT OF THE MONTH

The School year is over, and it's time for Summer Break!
But, check back when Summer Vacation ends and it's time to hit the books again!

Kristyl Clark, from the Class of 2008 at Camden-Frontier High School, is the May student of the month. Kristyl's mother Lynette Clark said she has worked extremely hard this year. She has played Basketball (starter on a district championship team), Volleyball, and is running Track and pole vaulting. While doing all these things she is graduating 1st in her class. She will be attending Bowling Green University on a full scholarship to study nursing. This is her first step in making her dreams come true! I am so proud of her and all her accomplishments and feel she deserves a lot of credit for all her time and effort she has put into her classes and sports!!!!!

Nathan Crandell is a senior at Lakeview High School in Battle Creek.
He was nominated by his Mother, Katie.

Nathan has been a very hard working student since he started school. He takes school very seriously and puts his all into all of his assignments. He has been in orchestra since the 5th grade and has become a pretty good violin player. He has taken AP classes, which has made it impossible for us, his parents, to help him with a lot of his work. Nathan has had quite a few teachers who have challenged him and helped to make his the student he is today. He has a very high work ethic and has helped others along the way. He has grown to be quite the young man and deserves the best in life.

  • Why This Student Should Be Student Of The Month: This year she has had straigh A's for her first semester. She has greatly Improved her school work from the previous year. She is also a volunteer at Mattawan Animal Hospital. She goes there everyday for 4 hours and is earning credit to be there from school. On top of her school work she works at wendys for 18 hours a week sometimes more. This helps her to pay for her gas to drive back and forth to mattawan, which is not cheap because we live in Richland. Katelyn has done such a great job this year I am so proud of her and all she has accomplished. She has so much going on in her life right now and she still has managed to keep All A's..I really believe she should be student of the month..

Congratulations to: Bradley and Brooke Peludat.
They are twins and are both in 9th grade at Lakeview High School in Battle Creek.

Brad and Brooke are good kids!

Brooke has a 4.0 gpa and is involved in choir, which is hard because of all her doctors appointments. She had a kidney transplant at the age of six months, and she is also a cancer survivor for about 8 years.

Brad is a good kid too. He maintains a 3.75 gpa. He is on the varsity wrestling team. They had a record of 24 wins and 11 losses.

We are their parents, and we are very proud of them both!!

Congratulations to Patricia Gunning for being our January '08, Student of the Month!
She is in 11'th Grade at Harper Creek High School in Battle Creek, Mich.

We are Tim and Julie Gunning and we want to nominate our wonderful 16 year old daughter Patricia (Trish) Gunning for the student of the month contest. She is a 11th grader at Harper Creek High School in Battle Creek, Mich.

We are very proud of the way she has always been so diligent in her school studies. We never have to tell her to get her work done because she has always taken responsibility for getting it done on her own. She has a lot of pride in the work she does and her teachers have given high marks for that on her report cards regularly. She has maintained a 4.0 throughout most of high-school. She has been awarded Academic Excellence every year in almost every subject since junior high. She was awarded the Sport"women"ship Award on the JV Volleyball team for 2006-2007. At different times since junior high she has been awarded for Leadership and Student of the Month by her teachers. Most of all we are proud of the way she has always respected and honored us (her parents) in every way. She has also held the same respect for herself, her teachers and elders. She makes good choices in every area of her life, picks good friends, and is a good friend. She is kind, caring and looks out for other and sticks up for them if need be. She is not afraid to try new things and always puts forth her best effort no matter what it is. She always has a good attitude and is full of life. We Love Her and are so proud of the young lady she has become.
